Upselling to Dieters
Upselling doesn’t have to be painful or forced. Here’s an example of tailoring the upsell to the customer’s requirements.

I’m Tom Bandy, doing store performance tip of the day while I’m on my trip.
Just got a fresh, hot cup of coffee at Easy Shop and Alex, or Alexandria, gave me a great upsell experience. I told her that I needed a fresh cup of coffee. She quickly offered that she’s got a fresh, hot doughnut to go with it. I said I’m working on my diet on this trip, and she said, “No problem. You can get two bananas for a buck twenty-nine.”
It was a great upselling experience. Thanks, Alex, for making my day a little special.
